Welcome
This is Paul Douglas Online (PDON for short), the home of me, Paul “Jensonb” Douglas, on the web. I am a student, semi-professional video producer, (Currently amateur) comedian and aspiring Late Night Talk Show host. Currently producing comedic videos for the web and shortly headed to University to continue my education in Broadcast & production.

I also happen to be the Creator, Host & Producer of
Counter Culture Weekly, the Ironically Named Pop Culture Podcast.

About
My name is Paul Douglas. I was born in 1991 in the coastal city of Aberdeen in Scotland, United Kingdom. I’ve moved around a lot since then but right now I’m in England, waiting for September to come, for when it does, I am headed South for the University of Portsmouth to take a BSc (Hons) in Television & Broadcast Production (Currently called Video & Broadcasting - name is the only thing changing, content is the same).

This site is the home for all the content I’m producing in the meantime - from reviews of awful feminist Christmas Musicals to my brand new drinks review show “Paul Douglas Drinks to Beverages”. I also create video content relating to my exploits through life - expect to see lots of theme park videos here (
NEW for PDON: Footage shot on the rides rather than just between them.)

So, what do I want to do with my life after Uni? Currently, my singular wish, aim and dream is to have a Late Night Talk Show. Conan is my hero. This likely means I will have to go to America after University, because Late Night Talk Shows are not such a big deal here in the UK, are usually weekly instead of weeknightly and they tend to be on for fewer weeks of the year. Blech.

Mind you, it’s not like moving to the US is a bad thing. Damn fine country.

I was also one of the first people on Giant Bomb and I was one of the hosts and producers of Bomb Should Have A Face, the Giant Bomb Community Podcast. On a similar note, as you’ll have read above, I’m the Creator, Host and Producer of Counter Culture Weekly - the ironically named Pop Culture Podcast! You can check it out
here. I’m also way into the new Whiskey Media site for Film & Television, Screened.

Politically I am a left-realist social theorist. I support common sense progressivism, palestinian rights, regulated capitalist markets and social welfare. I oppose fascism, discriminatory practices, marginalisation of the poor, conservative values and unrestricted free markets giving power to corporations. I support efforts to democratise the political system, including total reform of the UK’s Second House - out with the House of Lords & in with a Democratically elected Senate-style system.

I hope you enjoy your time on my site. Either way, consider leaving feedback so I know what to do more and less of to improve.
